Milledgeville Police Teach Life Lessons to Students

Milledgeville Police are spending time in the classroom this month working to keep kids out of trouble.

The Junior Police Academy targets children between the ages of 8 and 15 teaching them valuable life lessons.

“If we don’t get to them in an early age that by the time they are in to their teens they’re almost a lost cause,” says program coordinator Lt. Etta Gray.

The academy focus on teaching kids about drugs, gangs, peer pressure, internet safety, and emergency services.
