Celine Dion makes her comeback at Paris 2024 Olympics
Celine Dion to perform at the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony after a health-related hiatus

(CNN)- Celine Dion is set to make a stunning return to the stage at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This marks the French-Canadian singer’s first live performance since concluding her tour in 2022. Dion took a break from the spotlight after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder characterized by severe muscle spasms. Since her diagnosis in December 2022, she has focused on her health and recovery.
Dion will headline a groundbreaking show on Friday, joining 3,500 performers in the first-ever Olympic opening ceremony held outside of a stadium. This performance will be her second Olympic appearance, following her celebrated 1996 Atlanta Games performance of “The Power of the Dream,” which was watched by a global audience of 3.5 billion.
The Paris 2024 Olympics promises to be a memorable event, with Dion’s comeback adding to the historic nature of the opening ceremony.
