HIGHLIGHTS: Bacon fall to the Bigfoots 16-6 after over 90 minute rain delay

The Macon Bacon took to Luther Williams Field after an over 90 minute rain delay - and lost

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Bacon start their last week of the 2024 season at home Tuesday night against the Boone Bigfoots. After an over 90 minute rain delay, the Bacon finally took to Luther Williams Field.

It didn’t start off too well for the Bacon. After three errors, Macon was down 3-0 going into the Top Third. However, the Bacon rattled off three runs in the Bottom Third to tie the game up at three.

Unfortunately, Macon would give up 13 more runs, giving up at least one run an inning besides the Top First and Top Eighth, while only scoring three more themselves, as the Bacon lost

16-6.

The Bacon are on the road Wednesday to take on the Flamingos. They’ll be back at home Thursday for a doubleheader with the Blowfish starting at 6 p.m.
