MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Bacon dominate in a beat down over the Florence Flamingos 12-1 in eight innings in the first game back at home in a week. Last game the Bacon played at Luther Williams Field was the Fourth of July after their Saturday home game on July 6th against the Blowfish was postponed to July 25th.

After losing to the Forest City Owls 13-0 on the road Thursday night, the Bacon came back home with a vengeance scoring four runs in the bottom first, three in the bottom fourth, and five runs in the bottom 8th to end the game 12-1 on a runs rule.

Not to mention, Hunter Varnadoe pitched a full game (8 innings) while dealing 11 strikeouts, allowing three hits, and no earned runs. Everything clicked for Macon on the Kevin The Bacon’s birthday.

Bacon on the road Saturday to take on the Flamingos again.
