Jones County Woman Arrested for Killing Her Husband

Debra Warren Brown was arrested today and charged with murder. She’s accused of shooting and killing her husband, 52 year old Mitchell Reid Brown early this morning during a domestic altercation.

According to a news release from Lt. Jimmy Black of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting was reported at 3:30 a.m. and happened at a home on Creekside Drive. Brown died from a gunshot wound to his torso.

Debra Brown is being held at the Jones County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
