WPGA-TV Files Federal Complaint Against Cox
WPGA TV Filed a complaint in federal court against Cox Cable.
Cox Communications sent a letter to the Macon TV station back in mid June, informing them they were being removed from Cox Programming on July 28th. The Cox letter came after the FCC ruled in favor of WPGA, calling the station a “must broadcast” company.
WPGA owner, Lowell Register, says he’s confident the station will remain on Cox Cable.
“I don’t understand why they think they can do it. It’s beyond my comprehension. We just know that the FCC says we’re going to be on the air and that’s where we intend to stay,” said Register.
Attorneys representing the station are working to secure a hearing with a district court Judge, in order to seek injunction relief.
