Dublin VA announces PACT Act Summer VetFest

The event is scheduled for June 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center is hosting the PACT Act Summer VetFest in Dublin.

The event is scheduled for June 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Frank Jordan, Chief of Communications and Stakeholder Relations at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, says this event is open to the entire community.

Jordan says the PACT Act Summer VetFest is a time to inform veterans and others about the benefits available through the 2022 PACT Act.

Keith Griffin, Center for Development and Civic Engagement Chief, says the event will include a resources fair, eligibility representatives, and Veterans Benefits Administration claims clinic so that veterans can file their PACT Act or other claim on the spot.

Gus Allbritton, a local veteran, encourages veterans to sign up for benefits and ask any questions they have.

There will be games for adults and children, food, a car show, and musical performances.
