GDC: Telfair State Prison inmate killed in altercation
Wilson was serving a 20-year sentence for armed robbery out of Tift County.

MCRAE-HELENA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —An inmate at Telfair State Prison is dead after an altercation on Saturday, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Corrections.
While the investigation is still in the preliminary stages, GDC confirms Lamar Wilson was killed after injuries he sustained during an altercation with another inmate.
Investigators believe Wilson was the aggressor.
His body has been turned over to the county coroner and taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the official cause of death.
