Houston County School District to offer Summer Meal Program
Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive the free meals.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Houston County School Nutrition Program will be offering free meals to children 18 and under.
Meredith Potter, Dietitian at Houston County Board of Education, says children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive the free meals.
There are three ways for families to participate in the Summer Meal Program. There will be daily meals, mobile routes and meal pack options.
Daily Meals:
Daily meals will be offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the following locations:
- Northside High (926 Green Street in Warner Robins)
- Perry High ( 1307 North Avenue in Perry)
- Huntington Middle (206 Wellborn Road in Warner Robins)
Daily meals will begin May 28 and end July 19.
Mobile Routes:
Meals will be distributed by vans traveling seven scheduled routes through Houston County neighborhoods who are unable to access one of the school sites. For the most updated route information, call the School Nutrition office at (478) 322-3308.

Multiple Day Meal Packs:
Multiple Day Meal packs will be offered at three locations. Meals will be served every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Bonaire Middle (125 Highway 96 East in Bonaire)
- Northside Elementary (305 Sullivan Road in Warner Robins)
- Langston Road Primary (325 Langston Road in Perry)
Multiple Day Meal Packs will begin May 30 and end July 18.
