Rain and thunderstorms in the forecast today

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Good morning, everyone! This morning, we’re starting off with a few showers across Middle Georgia. Don’t forget to bring your rain gear as you start your day. Moving into the afternoon, we can expect more showers and even a few thunderstorms. Some of these thunderstorms could be strong to severe. Today’s temperatures will barely reach the low 70s. As we transition into the overnight hours, we’ll experience another mild evening. Tomorrow, temperatures will climb back into the low 80s with a few showers and thunderstorms. While some storms could be severe, it’s not looking very likely. The best days for outdoor plans this week will be Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures in the 80s and plenty of sunshine. However, rain and thunderstorms will return for the weekend starting Friday. Have a great day, and stay safe in the potentially thunderstorm conditions!
