BCSO: Man rams two patrol vehicles, attempts to hit deputies

Deputies say they quickly stopped the vehicle on Clinton Road, and had to break the window of the vehicle to remove the suspect.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —A wanted man was taken into custody Wednesday, after Bibb County deputies say he attempted to hit them during a vehicle chase.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were answering a domestic call when the man rammed two patrol vehicles and a civilian’s vehicle, then attempted to hit two deputies when fleeing a Gray Highway shopping center.

Deputies say they quickly stopped the vehicle on Clinton Road, and had to break the window of the vehicle to remove the suspect.

The driver, Marquis Clark, was treated at the scene for minor injuries, then taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.

Clark faces charges of Aggravated Assault w/ a Motor Vehicle (4 Counts), Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Meth), Obstruction of an Officer (2 Counts), Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Failure to Maintain Lane Interference with Government Property (2 Counts), Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle, and Criminal Damage to Property 1st Degree.
