MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Thursday morning, ACE Senior Pitcher Jack Corrigan signed his letter of intent to continue playing baseball at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia, where he will be pitching only.

With family, friends, classmates, teammates, coaches, and teachers all there to support the Gryphons Senior, Corrigan committed to TMU and gave a speech to the crowd in attendance.

Corrigan plans to major in Chemical Engineering or Criminal Justice in the fall.

As a part of what will be the winningest ACE baseball team in history, Corrigan carries an ERA of just 1.6 and has had over 80 strikeouts this season, with three no hitters.

The Ace Senior told 41NBC how all the years of hard work has finally paid off.

“Every kid wants it, you know? Everyone’s grinding everyday trying to make it here, so it really means the world knowing you put in this much work and its actually worth it and its not going to waste and going to find a job anywhere, but actually going to college for baseball and not just college for education” said Corrigan.  “It means the world working this hard and knowing it paid off and it was all worth it. Its a really good school and the really big thing that stuck out to me is I’ll get to be there; work hard, play with my boys up there at Truett McConnell, again to get closer to god, everyday. Baseball is really a thing I want to pursue and keep going with my life and not ending here in high school.”
