Thunderstorms expected overnight, some could be strong

Good morning, everyone! Today starts with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. Moving into Wednesday afternoon, anticipate mostly cloudy skies and temperatures rising into the lower 80s for most areas. Winds will increase from the south, ranging from 10-20 mph, possibly gusting over 30 mph by the evening. Additionally, a few showers may develop later in the evening. Overnight into Thursday, a new round of thunderstorms is expected as the next cold front approaches. The Storm Prediction Center has identified some areas of Middle Georgia with a Level 2 severe threat due to these storms. The timing is 12 am to 10 am. We could see damaging winds, flooding, and a isolated tornado although the risk is low. However, they are forecasted to clear out by lunchtime on Thursday, leading to windy and sunny conditions as we approach the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, it’s shaping up to be beautiful with the 80’s expected. So, make the most of the weather and have a good day!
