Medical Center of Central Georgia Announces New Partnership in Cancer Care

The Cancer Life Center at the Medical Center of Middle Georgia has joined the University at Birmingham Cancer Care Network to expand local access to leading care.

The Medical Center is one of the first affiliates to be a part of this joint venture. This means residents will have more access to clinical trials, and the latest education about advancements in the treatment and detection of cancer.

“We’re excited about this partnership with Medical Center of Central Georgia, because it provides the opportunity for us to work with a large community based hospital affiliated with the school of medicine and we think it’s going to be able to provide the highest quality of care for the citizens of Macon and the region that have cancer,” says Dr. Edward Partridge, UAB Cancer Center.

The ultimate goal of this partnership to save more lives.
