UPDATE: Man arrested in connection to north Macon Motel 6 shooting
The Aggravated Assault incident happened at the Motel 6 on Friday afternoon.

UPDATE (8:30 p.m.) – Investigators arrested 32-year-old Cody Aaron Stephenson in connection to the shooting at Motel 6.
Investigators say there was an argument between the men Stephenson and the men who were shot, that resulted in Stephenson retrieving a gun and firing shots at the men through the door and window of the room.
Stephenson was booked into the Bibb County Jail on charges of reckless conduct and two counts of aggravated assault.
He is being held without bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two people were shot at the Motel 6 on Riverside Parkway on Friday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the call just after 3 p.m. and secured a person of interest related to the shooting.
A 25-year-old and 40-year-old male suffered from gunshot wounds and were taken to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. Both men are in stable condition.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
