Dublin attorney charged with aggravated sodomy
Jason Rowland is charged with one count of aggravated sodomy.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says resident and local attorney, Jason Rowland is charged with one count of aggravated sodomy, according to a press release.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Rowland was indicted on March 25 in Johnson County Superior Court. That indictment stems from an incident that allegedly happened in Johnson County on July 28 of 2022. A neighboring law enforcement agency shared the report with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
From there, Sheriff Greg Rowland informed the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The Sheriff’s Office says that decision was made to ensure the case was fair and impartial, as Jason Rowland is well known in the community.
After a request from the GBI, a special counsel heard Rowland’s case and the indictment followed on Monday, March 25. The Sheriff’s Office then informed Rowland he had until Wednesday at noon to turn himself in.
Rowland turned himself in to the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center March 27, 2024 at roughly 10:20 a.m. He was bonded out shortly after, paying $10,000.
