Middle Georgia Regional Library System closing until April 1

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Middle Georgia Regional Library is suspending services due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Libraries are closing, effective Monday, March 16, and will re-open April 1.

During the closure, the libraries will be thoroughly cleaned and returned library materials will be quarantined.

A news release from Middle Georgia Regional Library System says all items currently checked out will have an adjusted due date set for Wednesday, April 1.

Libraries’ Wi-Fi service is free and available 24/7. No library card is required. You can access the Wi-Fi from your car in the parking lot of the library.

Digital resources will be available with your library card. This includes ebooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines.

Employees will be available through e-mail and social media.

Staff will receive pay for their work.
