Police Search City Drains For Clues in Giddings Case

Macon Police has expanded its search for clues in the apparent murder of Mercer Law grad 27 year old Lauren Giddings to sewer drains near her apartment.

According a news release, the City Engineering Department joined the homicide investigation because of its familiarity with the sewage system.

On Tuesday new forensic evidence was also flown to the FBI Headquarters in Virgina. Police continue to focus their investigation around Giddings’ apartment. ·

While authorities believe the female body found outside Giddings’ apartment last Thursday is in fact her they’re still waiting for positive identification.
