Medical Center of Central Georgia Welcomes New Doctors
Today, 33 new residents and six fellows joined the staff at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in the “white coat ceremony”. This is the first time the hospital participated in this tradition that is held at academic hospitals throughout the U.S. For new doctors, it marks the official start of their careers.
“I’m just honored to be a part of this wonderful program. The OB-GYN program here at the Medical Center is excellent. I’m very grateful and excited to work with some of the best doctors in the field,” says Dr. Nneka Ezekwueche.
The newest batch of residents will specialize in various programs such as family medicine, general surgery, pedicatrics, and surgical critical care. The Medical Center’s teaching hospital was created in 1982.
