Century Plant Blooms In Warner Robins

There’s a very unique plant growing in Warner Robins, one that most people have probably never seen, or much less heard of.

Buddy and Judy Miles planted the cactus 18 years ago in their backyard, and hoped that one day they would see it bloom.

“We’d never figure we’d see it bloom, but then it did. We’ve never seen another one bloom, except in books. And most people we tell about it have never seen it,” Buddy said.

The Century Plant typically takes nearly 50 years for it to bloom and produce its stalk. The Miles’ took less than half that time.
