Forsyth native, Super Bowl winner Malik Herring visits Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital

A hometown hero visited children at Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital on Friday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Children at Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon received a surprise Friday morning when Malik Herring, a Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs, paid them a visit.

Herring, who attended Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, spent time playing and talking with the kids and even signed some footballs for them.

The children were thrilled to meet the football star and spend quality time with him.

Parade set for Saturday in Forsyth

The City of Forsyth will celebrate Malik’s back-to-back Super Bowl wins on Saturday.

Forsyth Main Street will host a parade at 1 p.m. It will start at city hall, travel around the square and end with a pep rally at Ingram Field.
