Planning Your Middle Georgia Dream Wedding On A Budget

Most people assume wedding planners charge big bucks for their services, but in Middle Georgia, they can actually help you save for your big day. Rebecca Poole, owner of Platinum Weddings and Events, is helping Shenita King walk down the aisle in style.

“She’s working to make my dream come true. I can give her an idea, and she can find it, and still stay within my budget,” says King.

King’s budget is $4,000. Poole is working to her make the big day affordable.

“We break it down to a tee, what the budget is, we can play around there, we just make sure the designs, the venue, everything stays within that budget.”

Local vendors like Brilliant Linens also work to provide brides and wedding planners with plenty of options.

“We pretty much have something that we can customize for any bride, for any cost,” says owner Shondra Glover.

To help cut costs, Glover created a one stop shop for brides to get started. Her website Oh-Brides.com gives access to all types of local vendors. Brides can save big with a VIP card, but Glover says the deals are even better when you have a wedding planner to help out.

“Vendors that we normally work with, we do offer them additional savings as well, so that again is another reason why you definitely need a wedding planner.”
