Georgia Music Hall of Fame Closing, What’s Next for Downtown Macon?

With the closing of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, local leaders say they will not let the music die in the city of Macon.

“We would prefer not to have another vacant building in downtown, but music is important and we will continue that thrust,” says Mike Ford, President and CEO of NewTown Macon.

NewTown Macon is moving forward with plans to renovate the Capricorn Recording Studio. They also hope to add a record front store on Cherry Street as a bridge to the building on MLK Boulevard.
