New York school district pays ransom after hackers steal critical data in cyber attack
With its computers locked up and the school year about to start, New York’s Rockville Center School District paid an $88,000 ransom demanded by hackers to regain access to its data. It’s just the latest in what has been a season of Ransomware attacks on cities and towns across the country.
