Warner Robins Police Working 4-Day Weeks
WARNER ROBINS, Ga.- The Warner Robins Police Department is experimenting with a four-day work week.
About 25 employees made the switch this week. They’re working 10 hours a day.
Police Chief Brett Evans says he’ll evaluate the change after four weeks and will consider whether the long work days affect productivity.
Evans says longer work days for employees, particularly in the court services and records divisions, allows increased public access, with offices staying open until 6 p.m.
He says a four-day work week can also save money by cutting gas costs for officers commuting in police vehicles.
