Sick Middle Georgia Toddler In Ohio For Treatment Of Intestinal Disorder

CINCINNATI – A hospitalized Middle Georgia toddler who drew public attention when a lemonade stand raising money for him was robbed is in Cincinnati for treatment of his intestinal disorder.

Donations flowed in to 2-year-old Logan Varnadoe’s family after word spread that the stand set up by three young girls in Georgia had been robbed of nearly $150.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Macon boy is undergoing tests at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

April Varnadoe says her son has had 10 surgeries and his health problems have led to hearing and vision loss. Varnadoe says they received more than $3,000 within hours of the robbery story airing on local television stations.

Two suspects have been charged in the Warner Robins robbery.
