Macon’s Rose Hill Cemetery unveils interactive kiosk offering personalized tours, historical insight
Macon's Rose Hill Cemetery is making it easier than ever to unlock Macon's history—right at your fingertips!

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon’s Rose Hill Cemetery is making it easier than ever to unlock Macon’s history—right at your fingertips!
Tuesday, the cemetery unveiled an $80,000 kiosk at its entrance that offers guests an interactive experience like never before.
It was made possible through contributions from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, as well as private donors.
The county celebrated its launch with a ceremony.
“I hope they take away a greater appreciation and a greater knowledge of what’s in Rose Hill and where it’s located. It’s pretty overwhelming if you just wander around through here looking for things so it’s nice to have an up-to-date map that’s easy to read and understand,” consultant Bill Causey said.
With just a quick scan of a QR code, you can access detailed maps and learn about the lives of notable people buried there. You can even watch narrated videos on your phone to give you a personalized tour from local historians.
