Macon Will Be Smoke Free on September 1st

Tonight Macon City Council narrowly passes a city smoking ban. The decision came down just after 9:00, Tuesday. This means you will not be able to smoke in any bars or restaurants in the city of Macon. However, you will still be allowed to light up on outdoor patios and other designated smoking areas. Council passed the measure 8 to 6, and the law will go into effect September 1st.
