Mercer Foreign Exchange Student Found Dead

A Mercer Chinese exchange student was found dead this afternoon by his roommates. 24-year-old, Tianliang Zhang, was found dead at 1252 Shamrock Street, according to Bibb Co. Coroner, Leon Jones.

Zhang was found unresponsive in his bed around 4 p.m. by his roommates. Coroner Jones says Zhang looked like he had been dead since Tuesday.

Zhang had no history of medical problems and no medication was found on the scene. Officials hope an autopsy will help determine the cause of Zhang’s death.
