Interim Director for External Affairs in Macon Named

Macon Mayor Robert Reichert appoints an Interim Director of External Affairs. Clay Murphey will temporarily replace Andrew Blascovich who is taking a leave of absence to work on the mayor’s reelection campaign.

The Director of External Affairs is responsible for handling intergovernmental affairs, media relations and other special projects as directed by the Mayor.

Mr. Murphey is a native of Macon and has served in the U.S. Army and worked most recently as a commercial developer in the Middle Georgia area.
