Dry Thanksgiving in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – Ahead of a backdoor cold front that will move through tomorrow we will be dry with temperatures on the mild side.

Today.

Much like yesterday, this afternoon I am calling for temperatures in the upper 50’s and low 60’s across Middle Georgia with plenty of sunshine as well. If you plan on heading out to shop this evening you will probably want to take a light jacket with you as overnight low temperatures will stay in mid-to-upper 30’s.

Tomorrow.

After having a week of dry conditions and a ton of sunshine, that will change as we head throughout the day tomorrow. We will start the morning off with a partly cloudy sky, but clouds will be on the increase throughout the day as the “wedge” of cool air moves into our area. This air mass will keep us on the cooler side tomorrow afternoon. I am expecting Middle Georgia to top out in the low-to-mid 50’s tomorrow afternoon ahead of approaching rain. The first half of your Friday will stay dry, but rain moves in during the late afternoon and early evening hours and will continue overnight.

Weekend.

Saturday you can expect to see rainy conditions for the first half of the day but a general clearing pattern as we head towards the afternoon hours. Temperatures will again be in the low 60’s under a mostly cloudy sky. Sunday is much drier than Saturday. I am expecting more sunshine for your Sunday afternoon and the slight chance of a late evening isolated shower to pass through as another cold front makes its way through our area.
