Fifth Arrest Made In Shooting Death of Macon Teen
MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office made a fifth arrest in connection to the murder of 16-year-old Kendrick Davis. The teen was shot and killed the night of October 30th while walking at the corner of Warpath Road and Manson Road.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Cortavius Ates around 11:55a.m. A Crime Stoppers tip helped law enforcement authorities locate Ates at a home on Cochran Avenue, in east Macon.
Ates is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex for the charge of murder. He also has a separate charge in connection to a personal armed robbery on October 13, 2018, in east Macon.
Others charged in the murder of Davis include16-year-old Eric Bowden, 19-year-old Damarkis Hammonds 18-year-old Jamon Jackson and 16-year-old Troy Jackson.
