19 businesses sell their items at Macon Exchange’s pop-up shop

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Just in time for the holidays, local businesses are getting a chance to show Macon what they have to offer.

Friday is the grand opening for the Macon Exchange pop-up shop. Over 19 businesses from Middle Georgia are selling their art, jewelry, and other items. The pop-up gives customers a little urgency to get in and shop before it ends.

“We had over 40 applications, so we had to narrow it down to 19 the biggest thing that we did was want to make sure we’re choosing people from the Middle Georgia area make sure they’re eclectic and give people a chance that’s never been in a retail store yet,” Newtown Macon Project Manager David Moore said.

The grand opening event is tonight at 5 and the pop-up shop is on Second Street and is open through Christmas.
