Friends of the Library has 51st Annual Old Book Sale
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Friends of the Library Macon are expecting a line of custormers ready to buy books at the Old Book Sale. It’s the Friends of the Library’s 51st sale of gently used books.
More than 100,000 books are up for sale. The old book sale usually only happens in the spring, but they added a fall sale this year.
Money goes to help keep Friends of the Library open, and to Macon-Bibb Regional Libraries.
“We have people that come in with wheel barrels, with buggies, with grocery carts, with satchels of every kind and they fill them up and of course they know where the proceeds go,” Friends of the Library President John Mathews said.
The Old Book Sale is located at Riverstreet Corners Shopping Center off Riverside Drive.
