Campus Search Leads To Gun Discovered At Howard High School
MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A random campus search leads to a gun discovered at a Bibb County school.
Campus police at Howard High School recovered a gun from a student Thursday during random classroom searches. During one of the searches, administrators noticed a student acting strange.
Officers and administrators questioned the student. The Bibb County School System reports that the 17-year-old male student willingly handed over a 9 millimeter handgun to administrators.
In an emailed statement the Bibb County School System says “Today’s discovery was a direct result of the district’s random searches being executed properly. Random searches will continue throughout the school year to ensure our schools are a safe place for students and staff.”
