Light showers and overcast skies settle in our area for the next two days
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Clouds and showers are in the area as a low pressure system brings moisture into Middle Georgia. Due to a wedge, all of this will be trapped in the state for a couple of days. Highs are going to run around 14 degrees below average:
Today’s high: 62
Average high: 76
Overnight lows are a different story. Cloud cover and rain have the opposite effect: cloud cover insulates the heat, and the rain keeps the temperatures from moving much. It still looks a little cooler tomorrow morning, but not by much. The morning low will be around 50.
This system breaks down Saturday when the sun begins its return; that will lead to a beautiful sunny day on Sunday. Highs will get up to the low to mid 70s this weekend, with the overnight lows in the mid 40s.
