61-year-old man dies in Washington County ATV crash

Deputies, firefighters and EMS responded around 3:30 p.m. to the area of Cedar Creek Road and King Road outside Harrison.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 61-year-old man died Saturday after an ATV crash on private property in Washington County, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, firefighters and EMS responded around 3:30 p.m. to the area of Cedar Creek Road and King Road outside Harrison. The crash involved a single ATV with one occupant.

The victim, Jason Wright, died from his injuries at the scene, authorities said.

The sheriff’s office said a medical condition may have contributed to the crash, though the exact cause has not yet been determined.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.

Sheriff Joel Cochran urged drivers to use caution when traveling through the area while first responders were on scene.
