Spring-like warmth Monday and Tuesday, much cooler by Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you’re a warmth lover rather than a winter lover, the early part of this week is great. The highs these two days:

Monday: 71
Tuesday: 75

The average high this time of the year? 65.

Expect partly sunny skies today and tomorrow, with cloud cover increasing tomorrow evening ahead of a cold front.

As far as that front goes, models are all over the place with its arrival, which is surprising to see considering how soon it’s expected to move into Georgia. The best estimate I have is an arrival between 7pm and 11pm tomorrow. It’ll move through the area overnight and leave Wednesday morning.

Instability is high enough to warrant some storms, but severe weather doesn’t look to be an issue. I see the chance for gustier winds overnight as wind shear will be higher Wednesday early morning after midnight, so the earlier this front arrives tomorrow, the less storms we’ll see overall.

Highs Wednesday will be around 60, plus sunnier. Enjoy the cooldown!
