55th Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale happening this weekend

Proceeds from the book sale go to the Macon-Bibb County libraries.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The 55th Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale will be at the Round Building at Carolyn Crayton Park from April 4-7.

  • Thursday, April 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (FOL Member pre-sale, non-members cost $25)
  • Friday, April 5: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 6: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 7: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (half price day)

Derek McAleer, volunteer with Friends of The Library, says this event is open to the entire community.

There will be fiction, religious, children and youth books. There will also be tables of non-fiction books.

  • $2 for hardbacks
  • $1 for paperback
  • $1 for children and teen books
  • Collectibles will be individually priced

All proceeds will be directed to the library to support services and books exceeding the limitations of the budget.
