55-year-old motorcyclist killed in early morning crash on Hawkinsville Road in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead following a traffic collision early Tuesday on Hawkinsville Road, north of the Avondale Circle intersection, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 2:48 a.m. on May 6. Deputies said the driver of a Saab was traveling north on Hawkinsville Road when it collided with a motorcycle, also heading north.
The motorcyclist, identified as 55-year-old Dana Wayne Redd of Macon, was killed in the crash. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Redd’s next of kin has been notified.
