$500,000 Grant Aimed At Giving Expectant Moms Help in Home

A nearly $500,000 grant from the Governor’s Office for Children and Families is giving expectant mothers in one middle Georgia county, an extra hand.

The System of Care, in Houston County, is putting the money toward a program called Nurse Family Partnership. Through NFP, low income and first-time mothers, will enter the program before their 28th week of pregnancy.
