5 Injured in Eatonton House Fire, Investigators Looking for the Cause

EATONTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Five people were injured in a house fire on 985 Madison Road in Eatonton early this morning.

According to the state fire commissioner’s office, the call came in at 5:45am.  A 35-year old man, a 35-year old woman, and 6-year old boy were taken to the burn center in Augusta.  An 8-year old girl and a 12-year old girl were treated and released from a local hospital.  The man and woman are the childrens’ parents.  Their names are not being released at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  The state fire commissioner’s office is working to determine the cause of the fire.
