41NBC Thanksgiving Blood Drive set for this week

The blood drive will be from November 26 - 29 at various locations across Middle Georgia.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 41NBC Thanksgiving Blood Drive will take place November 26 through November 29 at various locations across Middle Georgia.

The Red Cross says that there is a drop in blood donation appointments during the holiday season.

Due to extreme heat over the Summer, Hurricane Helene, and Hurricane Milton, there is a large demand for blood donations.

According to the Red Cross, seasonal illness, winter weather, and the upcoming holidays often lead to lower appointment numbers and decreased donor turnout.
