Nationwide recalls issued for baby food, bath seats, supplements, hot tubs and tires

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A series of consumer product recalls has been announced, affecting households across Middle Georgia. Officials are urging consumers to check their homes and take quick action to protect their families from potential health and safety risks.

Baby Food Recall: Elevated Patulin Levels Found

Initiative Foods has recalled its “Tippy Toes” Apple Pear Banana Fruit Puree due to higher-than-normal levels of patulin, a substance produced by mold on fruit. The FDA warns that long-term exposure can cause nerve damage and a weakened immune system. No illnesses have been reported. The product was sold nationwide, except Alaska, in two-pack plastic tubs with a best-by date of July 17, 2026. Consumers are advised to dispose of the product or return it for a refund.

 

Baby Bath Seats Pulled Over Drowning Hazard

Hundreds of “CheerKid Baby Bath Seats” from BabiBaby are being recalled after failing to meet mandatory safety standards. The seats can tip over, creating a risk of drowning. No injuries have been reported so far. The recall affects seats sold on Amazon nationwide last September. Customers should return the product for a full refund.

 

Supplement Recall Linked to Salmonella

Ambrosia Brands is recalling certain lots of its “Rosabella Moringa” capsules due to possible salmonella contamination. The supplement was sold on the TryRosabella website and TikTok Shop. Seven illnesses and three hospitalizations have been reported. Customers with questions should contact Ambrosia Brands directly.

 

Hot Tub Jets Recalled for Entanglement, Drowning Risk

Watkins Manufacturing is recalling rotary jets used in Hydromassage “Highlife Collection” spas made between 2023 and 2025. The jets can create enough suction to entangle hair and pull a person’s head underwater. About 33,000 units are affected. One incident of hair entanglement has been reported, but no serious injuries. Owners are advised to stop using the jets and contact the manufacturer for free replacements.

 

Toyo Tire Recall Due to Tread Separation

Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas is recalling certain Open Country A/T III tires (sizes 265/70R18 116T and 265/60R20 115T) because the tread may separate, increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the affected tires free of charge. Notification letters will be mailed beginning April 1, 2026. Customers can call Toyo’s customer service at 800-442-8696 for more information.
