41NBC partners with The Salvation Army to support local children through Angel Tree Program
41NBC is once again partnering with The Salvation Army for the annual Angel Tree program which is an initiative that helps ensure children in need wake up to gifts under their tree on Christmas morning.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Salvation Army collects the names of local children along with their wish lists. Each child is then assigned an Angel Tree tag, which is placed on trees across the community including the main Angel Tree at The Shoppes at River Crossing in Macon.
Community members can select a tag, purchase the suggested gifts, and return them unwrapped to the tree. From there, volunteers sort and organize the items at The Salvation Army Toy Shop before they’re picked up by families ahead of Christmas.
For those who prefer to give online, the Salvation Army also accepts monetary donations through its Angel Tree links for both Macon and Warner Robins. Every contribution goes directly toward providing gifts for local children.
This holiday season, you can help “Do the Most Good” and make Christmas brighter for families right here at home.
