64 year old man dies after being struck by a car in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is dead after being hit by a car Sunday night.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the 64 year old man was hit on Pio Nono Avenue near Glendale Avenue just after 9 p.m. Deputies say the man walked into traffic and was struck by Honda Civic. He was pronounced dead at Medical Center Navicent Health.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the Honda at this time. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478)751-7500.
