34 People Arrested in Dublin Drug Bust

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A three month drug operation in Dublin leads to dozens of arrests and hundreds of charges.

Corporal Eric Roland with the Dublin Police Department Area Crime Enforcement team tells 41 NBC the operation started on October 17, 2012 and lasted through January 18. During the operation, 34 people were arrested on drug charges. Roland says eight arrests are still pending and those people have not been arrested yet.

The suspects were purchasing and selling cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs within the city limits. Forty-two people will be arrested with a total of 141 charges.

Roland says this is the largest drug bust the police department has handled.
