Macon man killed in drive by shooting in the city on Sunday

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A Macon man passed away over the weekend after being shot in the head by someone driving by. That’s according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, 21 year old Edward Durham Jr. was outside of a home in the 400 block of Holloway Street just after 1:30 Sunday morning when a car drove by. Someone in the car started firing shots and Durham was hit once in the head. He was taken to Medical Center Navicent Health for his injuries.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Durham died just before 2:30 that afternoon.

Bibb County Investigators say the suspect was driving a white Chevy four door car.
