31% of Adults in Bibb County are Obese
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Community Health Works helped us compile a list of the top five health issues in Middle and obesity is on the list. County Health Rankings reports 31%of adults in Bibb County are obese, that’s higher than the state’s average and the national average.
“A lot of times I ate like it was the last day of my life,” said Denice Clark, Macon.
Denice Clark was around 215 pounds at her heaviest.
“I’ve been heavy all my life. In fact in high school I had nicknames like hindenberg and blimp,” remembered Clark.
The extra weight was affecting her physically and emotionally.
“Fatigued a lot of the time, tired a lot of the time,” explained Clark.
