30s return for your overnight lows
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Last gasp of winter? Maybe. It’s too early to tell for sure, though it does become a lot harder for cold air to sink into our area this late in the year. This morning featured a small line of rain, some of it heavy, quickly moving through Middle Georgia. This afternoon will give us sunnier skies and low humidity.
Winds will shift to the northwest today and will blow up to double digits, 10 – 15 mph with gusts potentially up to 20 mph. Combine that with the sunshine and you have a brisk, wonderful afternoon. Expect the next two afternoons to behave similarly, with cooler temperatures and sunny skies.
The next chance for rain starts around Monday, which I’ve put at around 30 percent, with Tuesday being drier. Temperatures pick up next week as well, but for the next couple of days, 30s and maybe even some 20s will be the story overnight.
